Photographer’s comment: “In Cusco, Peru, is located the Potato Park, a communal conservation project based on landscape-integral management where protection and sustainable use of native genetic resources for food, farming and forestry based on traditional knowledge are handled by peasants: men and women, Quechua-speaking, heirs of thousands years of Inca tradition. International scientific research centers are validating this knowledge in a dynamic interrelationship of mutual benefit.“
