Photographer’s comment: “Kenya is the third largest producer of tea and the world’s leading exporter. Kenya’s tea industry provides livelihoods for more than 500,000 small farmers in the country’s rural highlands, including the woman pictured here. The factories in which the tea is processed are considering local, low-cost, and renewable electricity sources such as solar, small hydro, and wind, to power their operations.”
