Melting – Finland
Photographer’s comment: “This picture shows the melting on a Finnish lake. Global warming is making the process of thawing to occur faster and in bigger areas than in the past. Forests can play an important role in cooling the atmosphere because they absorb CO2 (which is a greenhouse gas) during the photosynthesis.“
