Photographer’s comment: “This photograph was taken in Cusco, Peru. It shows open range grazing, an extended practice in many parts of Peru. Since grazing is one of the various land uses, it must be subject to good management, considering soil conditions, among other things. Otherwise, it could create problems of soil deterioration.“
