El Huascarán – Peru
Photographer’s comment: “In Perú in the Ancash region. The Huascarán is the highest mountain in Peru, and is located inside the Huascarán National Park. There are thousands of people living nearby or even on the park itself, practicing mainly subsistence agriculture. At the same time it is one of the most visited National Park in Peru. Ancash is also a region of Perú where some of the largest mines of Peru are located.“
