Carlos Gomez

REDD+ Coordinator, Panama

Carlos Gomez is REDD+ Coordinator in Panama and UNFCCC REDD+ negotiator. He is also Co-President of the REDD+ Partnership, part time professor at the Technological University of Panama, and Vice-President of Panama’s College of Forest Engineering. With the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, he has completed research on the tropical forests of the island Barro Colorado. Mr. Gomez graduated in Forest Engineering with a Master’s degree in Forestry of the Agricultural Academy in Poznan, Poland.
