Mr. Marcin Korolec, Poland’s Minister of Environment, will chair the COP19 deliberations. The Ministry of Environment seeks to ensure long-term, sustainable national development with respect of natural heritage and human rights to meet the needs of both present and future generations. The Ministry is a professional institution which enjoys social trust, passes environmental laws and supervises various institutions and offices whose activities are connected with the national environmental protection. It also cooperates with social partners and non-governmental organisations as well as other public institutions. Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is responsible for rural and farm policies supporting the development of modern agriculture, rural areas and fisheries.

Its mission is to provide a framework for the development of the Polish agricultural, agro-food and fishery sectors, sustainable development of rural areas, food safety and quality as well as improvement of work and living conditions of rural communities while respecting their cultural tradition and taking advantage of science, knowledge transfer as well as opportunities arising from being a member of the European Union and the global economy.
