The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) has opened a special section dedicated to the UNFCCC COP20 and the Global Landscapes Forum in Lima in December. The section will combine news, analysis and research related to the two parallel events.
The Global Landscapes Forum will be the biggest event on the sidelines of the climate talks and aims to foster cross-sectoral approaches in land use. The challenges and solutions related to climate change will be an underlying theme in all its session.
Landscapes, on the other hand, are crucial for climate negotiations, as green house gas emissions from land use and land use change are a major driver of climate change. The interrelationships between the two themes and events is reflected in the new climate and landscapes section. Visit Lima 2014
