We are thrilled to announce a highly esteemed group of panelists for the Dragon’s Den as part of the Global Landscapes Forum youth session.
The panelists will provide honest and constructive feedback to the four pitches/recommendations created during each of the Youth Session roundtable discussions.
With expertise ranging from policy to science and climate change to business and investment, the panelists will assist young professionals in creating solid, actionable recommendations to carry forward to the GLF conference and beyond.

Rachel Kyte is vice president of the World Bank Group and special envoy for climate change. She oversees work on climate change adaptation, mitigation, climate finance, and disaster risk and resilience. Ms. Kyte is a professor of practice in sustainable development at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. She holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Tufts University, and a bachelor’s degree in history and politics from the University of London. |

Irene Hofmeijer Merkeli is the Youth Liaison Officer for Ministry of Environment in Peru to the UNFCCC for the COP 20 conference. She is responsible for facilitating dialogue, creating channels for participation, and building confidence with youth groups at national, regional and global scale in preparation for the UNFCCC COP20. She is also the president and founder of Life Out Of Plastic SAC, a social enterprise whose mission is to raise awareness about plastic pollution in marine ecosystems using market tools to fund educational campaigns. |

Guilherme do Prado Lima is a diplomat for the Brazilian government. He graduated as a bachelor in International Relations in the University of Brasília in 2008. In 2012, he earned a Master’s degree from the University of Brasília, also in International Relations, focusing on Brazil’s foreign policy in climate change negotiations. Currently, he works at the Division of Climate, Ozone and Chemical Safety of the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil. |

Peter Holmgren is the Director General of the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). Prior to CIFOR, he led the Climate, Energy and Tenure division at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, developing the profile and coordination of FAO’s climate change work and contributions of FAO to the UNFCCC process. |

Paola Agostini is an economist and coordinator of TerrAfrica, a regional partnership program in over 24 Sub-Saharan countries that promotes sustainable land and water management to help reduce poverty, improve livelihoods, and encourage resilient landscapes development. She also coordinates the REDD+ Program in Africa and Global Environment Facility projects that address biodiversity, climate change, land degradation, sustainable forest management, international water and chemicals using a landscape approach. |
